For The Cats of Milos Movement was born from compassion, heartbreak and a determination to make a difference. During a visit to the beautiful island of Milos, we witnessed firsthand the struggle of hundreds of stray cats — many sick, injured, or starving, wandering the streets alone. From kittens born into hardship to adults battling disease or injuries, their lives are fragile and full of suffering.

Our mission is simple but urgent, to raise awareness, provide support, and create lasting change for the cats of Milos. We work to highlight the reality of their lives, educate the public and channel resources to where they are needed most. This includes essential veterinary care, food, and Trap–Neuter–Return (TNR) programs which is a humane, proven solution to control stray populations while improving overall health and quality of life.

Without intervention, these cats face a cycle of suffering that grows each year. Unsterilised cats continue to reproduce, kittens are born into unsafe conditions, and illness spreads unchecked. Through community led TNR, veterinary treatment, and ongoing care, we aim to reduce suffering, prevent overpopulation, and give every cat a chance at a healthier, safer life.

We are committed to working with local rescuers, veterinarians, and compassionate supporters worldwide to make this mission a reality. Every story we share, every donation we receive, and every act of awareness brings us closer to a future where no cat on Milos is forgotten.
